 Like I always say.....it's good to have options. And now you've got one more......if you fit into petite or tall sizes that is. Gap just announced that it is adding both to its lineup. Whether you'll be able to get everything in petites and tall or just a few select items remains to be seen. And there's no exact date on their arrival either. But we do know that both collections will be featured exclusively online at  Gap.com.
Now I'm all for more petites and tall sizes, but damn it this better be good. There better be a good selection of each and they better be easily accessible - like free shipping & free returns. Otherwise this exclusively online thing is a big pain in the behind because it'll take you a bit to figure out what size you should get anyway and if you can't just drop the returns in the mail then it will also be a big waste of time. Let's just hope Gap has already taken this into consideration. |

| Out shopping for Jeans one day the folks at Banana Republic informed me of the 'on-line only policy' for petites at GAP, however I walked into the GAP store minutes later and they still had ankle length jeans in stock? Either way they were still too short for this 5'3" babe! Can you say "free alterations at Banana Republic" (I did!) |

| Here's what I am thinking/hoping the new petites line from Gap will be....actually petites! Not just an offering of ankle length jeans & pants, but instead everything from shirts, sweaters, denim, and pants....all sized appropriately for women under 5'4" tall. Take J.Crew - they have short & regular inseams in their "regular" sizes, but they also have petites that fit entirely different. So....if Gap follows suit you might just be able to find some jeans that fit. Keep your fingers crossed. |
