 We've complained about it, in March and May of last year and over and over again since then to our girlfriends. There's just isn't anything that great at Gap these days....or for the past few months or year for that matter. I think they've lost their mojo. I know haven't had a serious shopping spree there in years. And if I haven't, than a bunch of other people probably haven't either and that can't be good. Sure they've had a few pieces here and there, but overall the Gap has been just kind of blah. Not horrible, but not great either. It's a shame.....they used to be great.
So what's the problem? CEO Paul Presser? I thought he was the one who was going to turn the whole company around a few years ago. Obviously that's not working. Maybe it's their design and product development people. According to USA Today, they hired Charlotte Neuville in Oct. to help out, but her merchandise won't be in stores until summer with the fall line.
Whatever the reasons they better fix 'em and fast. Because people are going to start shopping elsewhere & forgetting about Gap, Old Navy, and BR and when that happens it will be hard to bring them back. |

| I am really curious....is there new Forth & Towne store doing well or struggling like the rest of the Gap, Inc. stores? I haven't had a chance to check this store out, but it is definitely at the top of my list. I thought the small sampling they showed online looked interesting. Anyone have any thoughts on this one? |
