I've had the same denim jacket forever.  It's a traditional style with little flap chest pockets, buttons, and a collar - nothing too exciting.  But man I love it.  With everything from casual khakis or dressed up with a flirty skirt - it goes with just about everything.  A lot of people even wear them with denim jeans.  I can't do it, but a ton of people do and it looks great.  And this spring you can find them in a ton a styles from cropped to ones with mandarin collars (which is very "in") to the tried and true.  There is seriously a style for everyone and for every budget.  Here's a few worth checking out....  

  • Lands' End has a really cute one with a mandarin collar and two rows of pockets.  And it comes in this really nice dark indigo color that can be either casual or dressed up. 
  • Gap of course has several to choose from. 
  • Old Navy too.
  • For something different check out the denim trench at Banana Republic.
  • Or denim peacoat at Ann Taylor Loft.
  • Or even the blazer style denim jacket at Talbot's.     
Like I said, there's something for everyone.  My advice - if you're looking for something that you'll have forever, go with the tried and true.  But if you want something a little trendier go for a mandarin collar.  They're very cute and oh so stylish.
