Seriously, it is not from a lack of looking.  I look....and I look and I look.  But the problem is I'm always trying to find the perfect jacket to fit all occasions and with outerwear, just like with shoes, one style or color does not fit all, occasions that is.  So I've put together a list of spring jackets that would pretty much cover it.  Here's what I came up with....

• Basic trench in a classic style & color like black or stone, etc.  This will go with quite a few things and last for years.  Ann Taylor Loft has quite a selection, so does Lands' End.
• Denim jacket is another must have.  You can wear it with just about everything and a good classic style will last forever.   
• Something sporty & really casual for the times when everything else seems a bit too much.
• Quilted jacket or a fun blazer, depending on your style, but something with color in a shorter style that is a bit casual, but still nice.  J.Crew has some cute ones, so does Gap.
• Finally, something very trendy & stylish when you want to look oh so fabulous.  Check out the piped cotton trench coat from J.Crew or the boulevard raspail trench at Anthropologie for some examples. 

Seems like a lot of coats I know, but these babies can easily be worn from one season to the next and one year to the next for that matter.  And just think how great you will feel when some spur of the moment event comes up and you have just the right jacket to wear.  Not to mention how fabulous you will look. 

But enough about that, I am off to do some shopping.....
