Here's a look I love - long tops with wide belts

Seriously, I think this look is great.  The wide belt cinched around your natural waist creates a little more tailored look than the long tshirt with belt slung low around the hips and is perfect for just about any occasion.  For work - try a short sleeve linen blouse with white pants like this outfit from Banana Republic.  For something a little more fun - try a pretty, silky number with a great belt and jeans.  Or a flowier, tunic top with a belt and skinny jeans.  Very hip.  Bebe has some great examples of both.  So does Forever21.  Anthropologie too.

My advice - find a great shirt and then the belt.  Much harder to work the other way around if you ask me.  And don't pay a fortune for the belt or the shirt for that matter.  The wide belt thing is hot now, but probably won't be forever.   Plus belts are so easy to find at a discount. 

And remember, for obvious reasons this style may not work for everyone.  So if you're a few pounds shy of your fighting weight you might want to opt for a skinnier belt or pass on this trend all together.
