 To be honest I've been doing the whole layered look for a few years now. It's just a super easy way to get more use out of your short sleeve tees and polos. This year the look is everywhere, so if you haven't tried it before you should. There are lots of stripes and plain color tees out there. Ribbed henleys and 3/4 length sleeves too. All to be worn under graphic tees, polos, and even dresses. Under shrugs, cardigans and more. The whole knit layering look is big right now, but you can also mix and match different fabrics.
But don't get too bulky. You don't want to get swallowed up in layers and vary the textures a bit. I just love a striped button down shirt under a knit tee. Very fun.

Gap has a ton of tees, henley, and sweaters to choose from. Lots of stripes and graphic polos, etc.
J.Crew does too.
This knit dress from Banana Republic is great, especially layered with a tee underneath.
And Forever21 has some really fun knit tops that just beg to be layered with others.
So layer it up my friend. Its super easy, very savvie, and great way to look oh so fabulous for fall. |
