Belts are still in my friends - here's a few ways to wear them

I just love a good belt.  Not only is it a super easy way to really pull an outfit together.  But it's also great way to show off a slender waist and help define a little thicker one.  So versatile.  Plus you can find them just about anywhere, so you don't have to pay a fortune for one. 

Here are a few ideas on how to wear them......

Take this full flannel skirt from Banana Republic.  Lovely paired with just a white fitted shirt, but add a wide belt to the top of the skirt and the whole outfit just looks a bit more stylish.  Or pair with a cardigan and a skinny belt at the waist and you've got yourself another look worthy of admiration.  

Or this cap sleeve Amanda shirt from bebe.  The matching ribbon belt is lovely, but you could also do a skinny belt around the waist or a wider belt too.  But don't go super wide if you're thick-waisted.  A belt works great to define your waist, but you don't want it to be the focal point of your outfit.

But you don't also have to be dressed up to wear a belt.  You can also absolutely go casual with them.  It can be as easy as pairing a low slung belt with a longer tunic or a wide belt over a more casual cardigan.  And of course you can always wear a belt in the belt loops of your favorite jeans or pants.

So grab yourself a few belts in different widths and different looks and pair with your favorite tees, sweaters, shirts and more.  It's an easy breezy way to update your look.
