 It's about this time every year I start evaluating my sweaters for winter. A few wool ones, maybe a few silk, but definitely a couple of my favorite - cashmere. There's nothing better I tell you. Not only are they super duper warm and very stylish, but a good one will last you forever.
But before you run out and buy one there some things you should look for. First off, to make sure you're getting the real deal, check the label. If it's a blend and not 100% cashmere it has be labeled as such, If you can't find a tag indicating fiber content, put it back. Secondly, look for a tight knit. The looser the cashmere is woven the more likely it is to pill. And third, if it looks to good to be true it probably it. The best bet is a reputable retailer.

For classic cashmere sweaters you'll have forever, you can't beat Lands' End. They start at just $89 and there are lots of colors and styles to choose from.
Looking for something a bit trendier? Check out the cashmere sweaters at Gap. For under $100 you can get some great looking sweaters.
If you're willing to spend a bit more, J.Crew has some seriously gorgeous options as well.
But if a super good deal is what you're looking for try Target or Old Navy. It's 100% cashmere for around $50. How cool is that. |
