 What can I say....I have never been a real fan of Express. Their stores always had that kind of trashy, not so nice quality, cheap knock off sort of feel. Granted it's nice to have this option when you're looking for a sexy, one night on the town sort of thing that you'll never wear again, but other than that I can't say I ever really purchased anything there. My friends, I feel that is all about to change.
For some reason, and I really need to talk to someone about this, they seem to have done a complete 180. The new clothes have a really great style and feel to them. Not totally out there, but not exactly what you'll see at BR either....a sort of a boutique meets national retail chain kind of feel. When I was there, there were women of all ages trying on this great stuff. From their bejeweled tunics to their halter neck silk tops to the huge selection of cropped dress pants, the store has a great selection of lovely things for everyone. Now I can't attest to the overall quality of the new merchandise, I will have to get back to you on that. But if the look and feel of the overall selection is any indication I think we will be pleasantly surprised. Oh and don't be surprised if the prices of the old Express are gone as well. It seems there is a direct relationship between style and price and as style increases so goes the price. However, it isn't anything we haven't seen before and if it means having another choice at the mall then I am all for it.
Anyway, check it out for yourself and let me know what you think. Oh, and don't go online to view the clothes....their site is just plain yuck.
