I probably sound like a broken record on this one.  It wasn't too long ago I was posting the same advice about dresses for fall & winter.  But since I've yet to take my own advice I figured it might be worth repeating.  After all, we are fast approaching a whole new season and dresses are still it.  They've definitely replaced the old "going out" look of jeans and heels, but they're also popping up more and more for work, dinner out, or a Saturday afternoon shopping trip. 

So as part of my new year resolutions, I am vowing to get myself at least one great looking dress that can easily go from dinner out to running around town.  I think you should too.  Here are a few worth considering....

Now I realize that dresses by Diane von Furstenberg will not be in everyone's price range, but if you're looking for a statement dress that will take you just about anywhere this is it.  Her wrap dresses are all the rage not to mention oh so fabulous.  Check out the selection at shopbop.com.

For a bit less $$ this dress from Anthropologie is lovely too.  Super easy to wear out with strappy heels and a rockin' necklace or layered over a tee and paired with wedges for a more casual look.

And for just $79 and a ton of versatility, this dress from Ann Taylor LOFT cannot be ignored.  Easily dressed up or down with just a change of shoes not to mention great for travel.  The 65% rayon makes it nearly wrinkle-free.

And for a steal of a deal check out the wrap dresses from Old Navy.  Or this Isaac Mizrahi wrap dress in navy from Target.  Great deal for just $34.99..
