I must admit I carry my "good bag" everywhere and it shows.  The bottom is stained from setting it on something wet and the inside liner is in definite need of a good washing.  It's so bad I'm thinking of getting myself a new one.  However, I've also decided to get myself a super casual, schlepping after kids, hitting the beach kind of bag for those days when my really good bag is better left at home.  Not only is it a great way to change up my look, but it's a great way to keep my high end handbag looking oh so fabulous.     

The little fabric totes have been around forever at places like J.Crew and Lands' End.  This Safari Print tote bag from Lands' End was even rated a "steal" by Glamour.com.  L.L.Bean has a great selection too.  Some of which can even be customized.  Gap and Target have them as well.

You can find them everywhere really.  I think the trick is finding one that is still very stylish without spending a ton of money.  I mean, you're not trying to replace your high end bag and you don't want to have to worry about ruining it when you're out and about. 

Me?  I am either opting for a really colorful bag since bold colors are all the rage for spring or something straw.  I like the peashoot tote from Anthropologie though it is a bit pricey.  Their gardenia carry all is super cute too for a bit less money and I also really like this Coach Hamptons bag.  So much for not spending a ton....
