When I'm shopping for a new dress I always try and break out of my mold.....trying on something in a brighter color or maybe a print.  However, I usually end up going back to my old standby....a great looking & fitting black, brown or navy dress.  Predictable?  Maybe.  Boring?  No way because what my dress lacks in pop I definitely make up for in my shoes.  It's been going on for awhile now, women wearing shoes that really stand out rather than blend with their dresses.  I love the unexpectedness of it and it's a great way for women to show their personality and individual style.

Here are a few shoes perfect for doing just that.....

J.Crew has a couple of pairs I really love.  For a more casual dress I love these Savannah cotton espadrilles and for something a bit more dressy, these Dorie grosgrain high heels or these Isabella printed d'Orsay high heels are just the ticket.  So adorable.

Anthropologie has a ton to choose from as well including these Haight wedges and these West Palm slingbacks.

These Yamaris red patent wedges from Nine West are super cute and perfect for kicking your work wardrobe up a notch.  And if you're still looking to add a bit of yellow to your summer wardrobe these Oh Deer! Mae heels are definitely worth considering.

And these Me Too America Wedges are totally adorable as are these Bandolino Aveline Open Toe Pumps.

But there are a ton of super cute, jazzed up shoes out there to choose from.  Find some you love and pair them with your favorite solid colored dress.  Very stylish and oh so fun.
