Stylish denim shorts for summer are a definite must have

I love denim shorts in the summer.  Always have.  But to be honest I thought they were not so in this year.  I mean I've been searching for the perfect, super stylish, not so run of the mill pair for awhile now and I had pretty much given up on ever finding them.  However, seeing the woman at Barnes and Noble and the blurb about the shorts in In Style has convinced me that I shouldn't. 

Here are a few I'm considering......

I love these Tailor Bait Shorts from Chip and Pepper.  Love the cuffs and the fact that they are not super duper short.  Are they expensive?  Sure.  But are they super cute and absolutely worth the money?  Most definitely.  Besides if I pick up a cute top from H&M or Forever21 to go with them it will all even out.

On the other hand, if you're looking for something trendy and affordable these dark wash denim shorts from the Patrick Robinson line for Target are definitely worth checking out.  As are these tie front linen cotton denim shorts from Ann Taylor LOFT and this tie waist pair from Forever21.

But whatever you do, get yourself some super cute denim shorts for summer ladies.  And I'm talking stylish, not just the standard 5-pocket shorts of yesteryears.  Get something with some details like cuffs or a tie waist - something current.  And pair them with a tee or flowy top and some great looking ballet flats, thongs or wedges.  I think you'll be glad you did.
