 According to a recent USA Today article, online customization and personalization of apparel and accessories is growing. There are a bunch of sites out there right now that let you customize everything from dresses, to chinos, to jeans, shoes, handbags and more. The good news, through customization you can get exactly what you're looking for as far as details, lengths, size, color and more. The bad news is all this customization is going to cost you.
Take Lands' End for instance. They have this really great "Custom Clothing" feature that allows you to customize jeans, chinos, blouses and more. You can choose between such details as high waist or low, flat or pleated front, tapered or straight legs, sleeve style, button down or straight collars, and more. Plus you enter your measurements, inseam (to the quarter inch mind you), height and a few more details to ensure a perfect fit every time. How cool is that.
Steve Madden also allows you to do a little customizing. With their "Design Your Own" feature you can pick among a bunch of different styles, heel height, leather color and other details to create one of kind shoes. FreddyandMa.com allows you design your own handbags.
And if you're not into customization, but just need help finding the right clothes to fit your size/shape. Check out MyShape.com. You enter your measurements, etc. and they tell you which styles would work best for you. Very nice.
It's good to have options my friends and these sites do just that. Check them out when you get a minute. I think you'll be glad you did. |
