Get a statement coat or a snappy jacket for fall

If you're like me and your everyday look tends to lean more toward the boring than the ooh la la...say a simple tneck sweater & jeans or a great fitting suit and a button down shirt.  You might consider spicing things up a bit with a statement coat or jacket.  Perfect for taking the ordinary and making it pop, colorful coats and snazzy jackets are big for fall.  From serious statement makers in plaid or patterns to more subtle ones in classic styles with brighter colors.  There are a ton to choose from.

Here are a few worth considering.... 

This Chic Applique Coat from Boden is great if you're looking for something a bit more interesting but not too over the top.  And if you're looking to make even more of a statement, check out their New Washed Velvet coat in pear.  Very fun.  

This Green trenchcoat from Banana Republic is lovely too.  Great style and striking color.  This Double Face Topper in red maple from AT LOFT is nice as well.

J.Crew has a few to choose from including the Bella jacket in velvet or herringbone or the Double-cloth lady day coat in roasted pepper.  And for something super in right now, check out their Felted-wool Pippa jacket or this Wool wrap coat from Gap.  The 3/4 length sleeves are oh so trendy for fall.
