Finding the right pair of shoes can be tricky
Tuesday, December 18, 2007
A fun party dress for the holidays send to a friend A great looking sweater from Banana Republic

This is one comfy and warm outfit and perfect for a little holiday get together with my girlfriends.  The only problem.....the shoes.  I'm leaning toward wearing boots, but everywhere I look (including the models at J.Crew) women are wearing these short little skirts with flats.  But for some reason my flats aren't really doing it for me.  It could be the style of my shoe or the fact that they do nothing for my height issues.  Hhhhmmmmm......

Anyway, just wondering what you ladies pair with your shorter skirts?  Boots?  Flats?  Maybe a little kitten heel?  I would love to hear what you think, so post away.

Here are the details for today's outfit.....

-Long-sleeve essential tneck in black from Banana Republic.
-Houndstooth patch pocket mini from J.Crew.  Check your local J.Crew store for availability.
-Tall black boots from Ann Taylor.
-Maisey Kensington ballet flat in black from Banana Republic.

Have a good one ladies.

I like the boots, but am not a fan of black nylons. I would choose skin-toned ones. Also, I would add a fun, long silver necklace!

I think either one would work....but I agree about the nylons. I would choose black opague tights if you have them. Have fun at the party!

I also agree about the nylons. Thanks for mentioning it. To be honest, I had intended to do a pair of black opaque tights but for some reason mine were nowhere to be found at picture time. No worries though, I've picked up a pair for my party tonight.
