Janeville - a new store by Gymboree

Gymboree - known nationally for their baby & children's clothing stores has added a new chain to their lineup.  A women's clothing store called Janeville.  I recently spent some serious time at the one in Chicago.  Can I just say.....totally adorable.

Boho Sandals

Now I like the whole boho chic look that seems to be everywhere this summer.  I like the flowy skirts, the tanks, and even the accessories.  However...this boho chic.....flat sandal.....Birkenstock look alike craze....just might be too much for me.  Even if you can get them with shiny, sparkly add ons.  You know the saying about the duck.....well they're still Birkenstocks to me and I just can't do it.

Out with the short; in with the long...longer anyway

I don't know if you've noticed or not....but I think the midriff bearing, shorty short shirt days may be over...or at the very least on its way out.  I can't believe how many longer tees and shirts are out there right now....from tunic styles, to the empire waist baby dolls, to just plain old tees....everything seems to be hanging just a bit lower these days.

Gap launches new store for 30 something's

Last September Gap announced their plans to launch a new chain of stores dedicated to providing fashionable clothing for women 35 and older.   Well it's finally here....sort of.  They just announced yesterday that the new store would be called Forth & Towne and launch this fall in Chicago and New York.  Oooh....I'm looking forward to it already.

Brown - one of summers must have colors

What's up with all the brown you say?  Well it just happens to be a very in color for summer.  Tshirts, jackets, camis, pants.....you name it....it comes in dark chocolate brown.  I like it....it's a nice change from all those bright summer colors....perfect for day or night.  AND....I might add.....it goes perfectly with those western belts we were all clamoring for this past winter.  Check out the tshirts at Abercrombie & Fitch for starters.

J.Crew Swim Finder

Well...let's face it ladies....the time to start looking for this year's bathing suit is fast approaching.  Depressing as it may sound I think I may have found something that might make things a little less painful....the J.Crew Swim Finder.  You can shop by one-piece, two-piece or color, but the slick willy feature of this whole thing is that you can also shop by body type....choosing which part you'd like to minimize or which part you'd like to enhance.  Mine's recommending a padded cup....go figure.

Abercrombie & Fitch's new store Ruehl No. 925

Well Abercrombie & Fitch has finally expanded its market - not by much mind you - but nonetheless they are finally targeting someone other than tweens, teens, and college students.  The new store is called Ruehl and its major audience is the college grad, young working professional type.  Though there wasn't much in the store that any professional would wear to work - that is of course unless jeans and tiny tees are welcome. Great pair of thongs from Lands' End

Looking for a great pair of leather thongs that are comfortable and fashionable?  Well I may have just the ticket.  Check out the pair I found at Lands' End.  They come in a ton of really great colors and...here's the really cool part....they have a detachable flower blossom.  Very sporty and very fun.

Benetton - back in the mix

Mark my words ladies.....Benetton is back.  My sister and I stopped in a Benetton store just for kicks the other day, assuming we would find nothing of interest as we haven't purchased anything there in years.  But I'll be damned....that store was rockin'.  Well....maybe not rockin'....but they definitely had some really great stuff in there.

What's the deal with the Limited and Express stores having no working websites?  Hello......online shopping people.  Well at least they have revamped the Express stores....maybe their website will be next.  As for Limited....its anybodies guess.
