Gap - Not much to talk about there

It is just me or is there nothing that great going on at Gap these days?  I love Sara Jessica Parker as their spokesperson...I really do....and she really makes me want to buy something there.  But I just can't seem to find anything worth writing home about.

Tissue tees at J.Crew

So I got my J.Crew spring catalog the other week and in there were these great little graphic short sleeve tissue tees.  They come in all different colors and look really great in the catalog.  Well I actually got to try one on the other day.  Can I just say....yuck!

Federated to buy May

The latest news from the department store world is the purchase of May Company by Federated. Most of the May Company's stores which include Lord & Taylor, Kaufmann's, Foley's, the newly acquired Marshall Fields, and several more will eventually be brought under the Macy's or Bloomingdale's name. What does this mean for loyal May Company customers, well an end of an era that's for sure.

My new favorite look - layers

I realize this look has been around awhile now, but for some reason I am really into it these days.  It is just so easy to throw on a long sleeve t-shirt under a great graphic tee, a pair of jeans, some cool sneakers and hit the town.  Comfy?  Yes.  Cool?  Most definitely.

Flats are IT for spring

Well here's the story....the must have shoe for spring is definitely a pair of flats.  They come in a ton of different prints & colors (check out the selection at J.Crew) and look great with a knee length flowy skirt if, and let me repeat, if you are tall and blessed with lovely shaped legs.  Me...not so much.
