Great deals on summer stuff

It seems everyone is having a sale right now which means it's the perfect time to pick up some great looking summer clothes for a super good deal.  But here's the kicker, you've got to move fast.  Some of these sales have been going on for awhile now which means sizes and colors are already limited.  But it also means, at some stores at least, the deals are even sweeter.  My advice, hit the stores ASAP!  I think you'll be glad you did.

Lots going on at Banana Republic

Believe it or not it's time to start thinking about late summer/early fall merchandise.  You know, things you can buy now that can easily be layered up, added to, etc. to take you right on into fall.  Banana Republic has their new summer/fall line online and in stores now and I must admit I like what I see.  Super cute dresses and tops, trouser jeans and more.  Still in need of summers shorts, sandals and more?  No worries.  Their big summer sale is still going.  You can save up to 50% on select summer styles.  But hurry in; the good stuff is going fast.

Stylish denim shorts for summer are a definite must have

I was at Barnes and Noble the other day and spotted this woman wearing the perfect summer outfit.  A super cute blousy top with some great looking denim shorts and a pair of J.Crewish looking capri sandals.  Then I came home to find a page in the July issue of In Style magazine showcasing some seriously stylish denim shorts.  So.....to make a long story short (no pun intended)....the shorts that I thought we "not so in" are totally in and I'm now on a mission to get a great looking pair for myself. J.Crew's newest chain - Madewell

I was perusing my July issue of In Style magazine this weekend when I discovered several things worth chatting about.  The first being a blurb on super cute denim shorts which I have been so searching for and the second being a great looking yellow hoodie they featured on page 93 from Madewell.  The shorts I'll save for another entry, but I'm dying to know if anyone has shopped at any of the few Madewell stores around the country.  If so, do tell.  Was it great or not?  Never heard of Madewell?  Check it out at www.madewell1937.com.

Move over Liz Lange, there's a new player in town.  Ann Taylor LOFT has just announced the arrival of its own line of maternity clothes.  They've taken the newest LOFT favorites, redesigned for you pregnant ladies and kept the prices affordable.  How cool is that.  Super cute tops and dresses, pants and more.  Almost makes me consider having another baby......almost. Bangles, bangles, and more bangles

According to the June/July 2007 issue of People Style Watch stacked bangles are one of the 7 must-haves for the summer.  I couldn't agree more.  Great looking silver hammered bangles, gold-plate and crystal bangles, even wood and enamel bangles.  So many to choose from.  So little time.   3-5 at once is my limit though - a bit more manageable for my everyday than the 10+ I see the celebrities sporting these days.  But 3, 5, or 15, I love the look and it's an oh so fun and easy way to accessorize this summer.

Tailored shorts + a fuller top = a great summer look

Here's a look I love for summer.  Take super stylish tailored shorts and a bit fuller top on top, pair with some super cute summer espadrilles and its a look that can take you shopping or to a casual dinner out.  Do a slightly longer top and a cropped jacket or sweater and you're good to go for a baby shower, etc.  Change up the accessories and you've got even more options.  Totally versatile and oh so stylish.
