Great looking raincoat from J.Crew

First up in my search for a great looking trenchcoat, this super cute raincoat from J.Crew.  Sure it's more of a jacket than a traditional trenchcoat as it is just long enough to cover my bum and has 3/4 length sleeves, but it is super stylish and just way too cute to pass up.  It can go casual or a bit dressy not to mention keep my dry in the rain.  How cool is that. For me, early spring dressing definitely includes a pair of pants

Spring is fast approaching, at least according to my calendar and not the huge piles of snow still lining my driveway, so it's time to start considering all those springtime events you may have on your calendar.  And while a pretty dress or skirt will always work, sometimes a girl just feels like wearing pants.  Especially when the temp outside is nothing too rave about.  I picked up a great pink colored vneck sweater and scarf this weekend to pair with my white pants for a look that can take me to an afternoon baby or bridal shower or Sunday brunch out with my family.  Very nice.

Super cute nylon jacket for 15% off. I'll take it.

Well it's not exactly a trench, but I did pick up this super cute little nylon jacket from Banana this weekend.  Love the 3/4 sleeves, the shoulder epaulets and the nylon which gives it a fun, sporty feel.  I paired it with a long sleeve tee for now, but it looks just as great over a short sleeve top, a dress, you name it.  Lots of options with this one.  Plus they've got the 15% off $125 thing going on right now, so I grabbed a shirt for my hubby and got 15% my entire purchase.  How cool is that.

A great Oprah show has inspired my latest "must own" search

Hey ladies did you happen to catch the Oprah Show on Wednesday?  I hope so because it was awesome.  Definitely one of my favorites.  With help from stylist Lloyd Boston, they took several moms and gave them a makeover.  Except they didn't totally glamorize the women with clothes they would never wear again. Instead Boston created individual looks that were totally affordable and doable.  How cool is that.

The Limited has a great selection of work wear

I must admit I don't shop The Limited that often.  I just don't have a huge need for work wear stuff.  However, every once and awhile I will wander in to check things out.  They have a really great selection of suit jackets, pants, and skirts.  Plus all the extras you need, like pretty little tops, sweaters and more, to put together a really nice work wardrobe.  I discovered this great vneck vest on my most recent visit.  I really like it because it can go both causal and dressy and it works perfectly with a button down shirt - one of my wardrobe staples.

New Reductions at Banana Republic

Hey ladies, Banana Republic just marked down a bunch of their early spring stuff.  Great styles that can be worn now and later for up to 30% off original prices.  How cool is that.  I actually just picked up a few of their long sleeve timeless tees for just $14.99 each (reg. $28).  I really like these tees because they are bit more dressed up and a bit more substantial than my layering tees from Gap plus they really hold up wash after wash.

Casual yet put together - perfect for my everyday

My outfit for today is casual yet put together enough that I would feel comfortable wearing this just about anywhere.  I've taken my super casual look and swapped the hoodie for a cardigan and the sneakers for a pair of Franco Sarto brown patent flats.  Plus I've added a skinny belt, which are all the rage this season, to pull it all together.  Super easy and perfect for my everyday.

The safari look is in for spring

One of the big trends for spring is the safari look.  Lots of super cute shirts, jackets, skirts and more with safari-inspired details like button-flap pockets and rolled up sleeves to make it look as though you're ready to head an expedition or take a trip to Africa.  I plan to pick up one or two pieces to spice up my everyday look.  First up, a super cute and ridiculously affordable pencil skirt from Old Navy.  (4 comments posted)

Try a stylish knit top for spring

Fun girly tops are everywhere for spring.  Scooped neck knits, square necks, puffed sleeves, blouson styles and more.  Great options if you're looking for something with a bit more kick and interest than a basic tee.   The only problem is its way too cold to wear them by themselves right now.  Luckily the layered look is also in for spring, so I've taken a fun top from Banana and paired it with a white button down shirt.
